BDS, PE, L3C, Afghistan
yep...my dear brother is off to see the world. Jealous much. Well Afghaistan would not be my first choice but let's check in and see how B. started off.

You got my first e-mail - right??? (see below), then I sent you another titled "Greetings From Kuwait City" Please comment. Did you see the Kuwait City pics that I tagged you on @ FB?? [i.e. the pristine white camel]sa
I have not had the time to journal since landing at Camp Leatherneck. Left Kuwait City @ 0100 early Monday AM......it was an all nighter, except for the cat naps on the C-17, troop carrier........BUILT RIGHT THERE IN THE LBB BABY!!!!! Itinerary was on the fly, but shook out like this.....arrived in Kandahar @ 0600 check thru Kandahar Airfield, Jumped on another C-17 (Charleston) @ 0900, arrived @ Camp Bastion Air Field @ 1030, check through military customs and security, hooked up with our USMC ride & arrived at Camp Leatherneck @ 1200 Noon. Met the C-7 Crew (Roads & Bridges Boys LOVE Me.), had chow, shopped @ PX....crashed, hit the wall @ 1600. You do the math Damn Long Day. Glad to be here to support the SW Regional Command of the USMC in the Helmand Province of Afghanistan.......I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2nd day on Base and have met my Commanding Officer (CO) of the C-7 Command with responsibilities relating to work on Base, In-Side the wire.....Safe as working for the "Town of Leatherneck". I have my first project today, doing a lot of meetings / huddles. Still waiting for a desk & computer assets. Taking 30 min. walks to explore base to get familiar with my new home...making lots of USMC Friends, True Friends.
I am Well, I am Happy, I am working with the BEST crew that I have ever worked with........A little disfunctional, but WorthWhile Work. I am at the MWR ( Marine Rec Center) using the free internet during Lunchtime. Must get back to the Command Center for a 1300 meeting.
